On August 10, 2024, the Vamanapuram Farmer Producer Company (FPC) conducted a share certificate distribution event at the Thalayatumala Agricultural Marketing Centre in Pullampara Panchayat. This initiative aimed to enhance farmer participation and promote collective growth within the local agricultural community.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Director Board member, Mrs. Akhila, followed by a session chaired by Director Board member, Mr. Sashidharan Nair, who highlighted the importance of farmer collectives and financial empowerment. Mr. Ramachandran, representing CISSA, then delivered an informative presentation on agricultural enterprises, financial planning, and loan facilities. This session provided farmers with insights into scaling their businesses and accessing financial resources. He also addressed farmer inquiries regarding sustainable farming practices and market access.
The distribution of share certificates served as a symbolic representation of the Vamanapuram FPC’s expanding farmer network, reinforcing the principles of community-driven agriculture. Farmers receiving their certificates now hold formal membership within a structured and supported agricultural ecosystem.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Attukal Ashokan, a shareholder of Vamanapuram FPC, who expressed gratitude to the board, CISSA representatives, and fellow farmers for their contributions to the initiative’s success.
