On August 10, 2024, the Vamanapuram Farmer Producer Company (FPC) organized an entrepreneurship workshop at the Green Auditorium in Nandiyode. The event focused on providing farmers with essential business knowledge, financial guidance, and insights into contemporary agricultural practices.
Mrs. Aparna, Senior District Resource Person from the Industries Department, led an interactive session on entrepreneurship, offering guidance on business development and government schemes aimed at supporting rural entrepreneurs. Subsequently, Mrs. Soumya, representing Canara Bank, provided information on loan opportunities and addressed farmers’ inquiries regarding financial support for agricultural ventures.
Mr. Prasanth PV, a former agriculture officer from CISSA, addressed farmers’ concerns and facilitated the distribution of share certificates, strengthening farmer engagement with the Vamanapuram FPC. Husqvarna Company conducted demonstrations of advanced agricultural equipment, highlighting their applications and benefits for enhancing farming efficiency and productivity.
Mr. Ratheesh V R, Chairman of Vamanapuram FPC, presented an overview of the company’s activities and its commitment to farmer empowerment through collective initiatives. Board Member Mr. Suresh Kumar discussed the FPC’s future initiatives, outlining upcoming projects and opportunities for the farmer community.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Swapana, acknowledging the contributions of all stakeholders and reinforcing the Vamanapuram FPC’s dedication to agricultural development and farmer empowerment.
